Dundee is a great place for golf.

Should you prefer parkland or links golf Dundee is an ideal place to start your tour of famous courses. Not only is Dundee ideal for golfers it also caters for visitors from abroad who wish to trace their roots. Due to the history of the industry in the city many people travelled the world developing new businesses concerned with the business of the city. Such as the production of Jute, whaling and printing, not to mention Jam and Dundee Cake. More recently the oil industry is drawing people to the area especially with the natural dock area being easily accessible.

In addition to Carnoustie and St Andrews there are many other fine golf courses spread along the east coast, all individual and all offering a new and exciting challenge. Just a short drive further north lies Arbroath, famous for the Arbroath Smokie, with its picturesque harbour and popular golf course. The members offer a warm welcome and the course is always in superb condition.

Links courses abound on the east coast of Scotland. Several are qualifying courses for the British Open and all offer competitive rates for groups and individual visitors. Many golfers enjoy the comradely of travelling to new course and pitting their wits and skills in a team effort to challenge the course head on.

Catering at many of the golf clubs are of a very good standard, from bacon rolls to three course dinners. The food and drink is competitively priced and available at all times. One can arrange to have meals or snacks to be available between rounds of golf or at the end of the day. This can round off ones experience of playing some of the most beautiful courses in Scotland.

Scotland is the home of golf and still provides the best experience to golfers of all standards
