Disneyland Paris: Once Upon a Dream

By Steve Alexander

For almost 20 years, Disneyland Paris has been entertaining holidaymakers, with its big and colourful attractions. You can visit the French capital for an authentic taste of all-things Disney, which more than holds its own with the other Disney theme parks around the world. From seasonal fireworks displays to large parades and ceremonies, guests are certainly in for a treat.

Main Street USA serves as the introduction to the park and the whole Disney experience and guests have their first opportunity to buy food and visit a ride or exhibition, such as the Disneyland railroad. There are several parades, which start in Fantasyland, before heading past the Fairytale Castle to Central Plaza and ending in Main Street.

The five magical lands of the main theme park are at the end of Main Street, in Central Plaza. The Fairytale Castle is one of the highlights of Disneyland Paris holidays, which can be seen from Central Plaza. Guests will be able to follow the signs around the castle, so they can descend into the dragon's lair for a frightful encounter with an animatronic beast.

Fantasyland is loved by young girls who dream of being a Disney princess and their dreams will come true, as they'll be able to dress up as their favourite characters, whilst eating lunch with some adult lookalikes. Visit Fantasyland's Auberge de Cendrillon Restaurant for the chance to eat tea and cakes with them or those lucky enough to be staying in the main Disneyland Hotel on their holiday deals will be able to enjoy their breakfast, whilst sat with their favourite Disney characters.

Little princes and princesses are able to enjoy some amazing special effects rides like Peter Pan's flight. See how Snow White escapes the clutches of the wicked witch on the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ride. There is also something for adults staying in the Disneyland Hotel who will have their own treats to look forward to in the shape of the relaxing Celestia Spa.
