The Complete works of William Shakespeare at Centerville

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

I was introduced to William Shakespeare when I was in grade school, during the time that our class discussed his most famous work, Romeo and Juliet. As a young girl then I can vividly recall the way me and my classmates gush over the romance of the brave and chivalry Romeo and the fair maiden Juliet. We were all so saddened by the ending however, upon discovering that both characters led a dismal fate.

William Shakespeare has created so many bestsellers, and has always been a part of the English literature. Hamlet is also considered a masterpiece. Many other literary works of Shakespeare also made it big in theaters. Shakespearian works are different due to its euphuism. Shakespeare is considered the father of playwright and English Literature. Shakespeare's works lives on forever, as long as English literature is concerned.

I believe that the story of Romeo and Juliet is the blueprint of romance and love stories of our time. It is often popularized and the story and plot is often copied by modern romance movies that depict the story of the young lovers in the quest for their feelings to be freed. It is just a bit disappointing that William had to end the story very tragically, with both the lovers ending their lives to demise.

Centerville is a gallery that mostly exhibits the works of famous English playwrights. The exhibit is made to commemorate the gift Shakespeare has left to the world of Literature. Literature fans are open to come and experience the beauty William has given the world of modern and old literature. Also, professors and student will be given their chance to discuss the importance of Shakespeare's works.

Come to Centerville and witness the show for yourself!
