Get Cheap Flights To Berlin For A Cycling Holiday

By Claire Collins

If you love to cycle and want to spend your summer break getting out on two wheels, consider a holiday in Berlin. With so many cheap flights and hotels in this beautiful city you'll fall in love with the place. Berlin has over 1000km of cycle paths, and people on bicycles are more abundant than cars, so you can feel safe on the roads. There is so much to see and do in Berlin as well, so it's the ideal place to go this summer.

You can pick up cheap hire bikes all over the city, from a variety of cycle hire shops - so if you don't want to bring your own you will have plenty of options to get some wheels.

There are some truly significant places to visit in Berlin, if you're interested in history. Gorlitzer Park, the former site of the rail terminus that connected the two different sides of Germany, it is now an important monument to the city's history. You can cycle here, and if you do you will be able to see a lot of the city along the way, making it a great day out on the bike.

You can get cheap flights to Berlin and then enjoy the free spaces. Tiegarten Park is a must-see. It's considered to be the world's largest (and most attractive) urban park - perfect for cycling! In fact, cycling is not only allowed in the park but it is encouraged, which you don't often find in city parks. The park also has other exciting features going for it. Park up your bike and visit the zoo, or the aquarium, or simply pack a picnic and sit and watch the people go by.

You can get cheap flights to Berlin but you will also be able to find cheap hotels. And not no-frills accommodation either. There are plenty of places at amazing value, such as the Hoppergarten Berlin hotel, which is within close proximity to Tiegarten so you will soon be in cycling heaven. Enjoy the sauna after a hard day's cycling, have a cold drink at the snazzy hotel bar, and then have a great night's rest with sound-proof rooms. All without breaking the bank.
