Summer at Camp Soundwaters

By Mercie Hallow

Summer is getting near and as parents are starting to feel the onset of summer heat, kids are looking forward for exciting activities after months of learning academics at school. Refreshing outdoor activities and play are what kids are looking forward to each summer. Two weeks of learning about the wild and interacting with other kids are a refreshing way to start the summer season. Yes, it is indeed time for CAMPHOUSE!

Camp Soundwaters is located at Long Island Sound, Connecticut. It is powered by Soundwaters, a non-profit organization aimed to educate and teach about caring for the environment and increasing awareness about the Long Island Watershed. Soundwaters offers courses and programs for kids and adults inside their community centers, schools, schooners, camp house programs, etc.

Soundwaters is a place where you can learn, interact, share knowledge and have hands-on classes on the beauty of the world around you. Nature is at its best at Soundwaters where there are facilities and amenities that can educate goers about nature and life at the Long Island Watershed. Soundwaters is a place where people can relax, have fun and open their eyes about the beauty of nature beyond homes borders.

The 80 three-masted schooner called Soundwaters is where kids can interact with live animals and learn about science discovery, backed up by excellent trainers and guides. Here you can deploy your net and have fun while sailing with your new found friends.

Summer season is perhaps the favorite season of kids as they ar released from classroom confinement and out to the world where they can enjoy the season under the sun. At camp Soundwaters, kids can definitely have a big summer blast!
