Home Business: Homemade Soaps

The transition from single life to motherhood is indeed a very bizarre experience. It is filled with joys, happiness, bliss and euphoria. However it entails also a lot of challenges and changes which are sometimes tiring and stressful especially for first timers. These changes can bring about a mom's dilemma of either caring for the baby at home or pursuing a rewarding career. It is a tough decision that mothers all over the world go through every time.

This dilemma comes often to moms all over the world who wants to have best of two worlds, having a rewarding career and taking care of her baby. Stay at home moms nowadays has plenty of options to be creative and make money and one of these options is through crafting and creating homemade goodies such as soaps. Homemade soaps are very easy to make and this hobby can turn to a money-making business in no time.

To make homemade lavender soap, the first step is to gather the ingredients. The ingredients are a bar of colorless or no fragrance soap, lavender oil, almond oil (to moisturize), a purple food coloring, a glass bowl, mold, a sheet of wax paper and water. Simply begin by processing the soap bar while the broiler with the glass bowl is prepared. Pour almond oil into the glass bowl and add the soap. Pour water from the broiler and mix until thick as paste. Add lavender oil and food coloring. Remove from heat and transfer to mold.

After cooling remove from mold and transfer to wax paper to air dry. Allow a day to dry before wrapping in wax paper or plastic sheets. Decorate by placing a printed information card, covering it again with a nice gauze fabric or tying with an abaca ribbon. The possibilities for decorating and making your homemade soap attractive and saleable are endless. Turn to your creative side and have fun while doing so!

Indeed homemade soaps are excellent business starters for moms who want to make the best out of the time she spent mostly at home caring for her kids. It is a hobby with a low capital and guaranteed high profits!
