The National Maple Syrup Festival

What is more pleasurable than to wake up one morning to the sound of moms pancakes sizzling in the pan? What is more invigorating than the smell of Maple syrup being poured onto buttered spread hotcakes? A hearty breakfast indeed! This is grand breakfast the Indiana way- where heaps of homemade pancakes are slowly being drowned by thick, pure authentic Maple Syrup. Indiana is home to the best Maple syrup in the country.

The National Maple Syrup Festival is an annual event held on the 1st and 2nd weekend of March at Medora, Indiana. Thousands of locals and enthusiasts gather to attend this spectacular event in commemoration to this amazing concoction bearing-the Maple tree. The Festival offer games and enjoyment for the whole family that is surely not to be missed! The Festival is in commemoration to the Maple Syrup which is very common in the area.

The spring season is almost near and flowers are beginning to show in flowerless trees and shrubs. This is the ideal and best time to celebrate the National Maple Syrup Festival. The Maple tree begins to show off its tangerine colored leaves during this season, which serves as a perfect if not, best backdrop to the Festival. Vendors and exhibitors show off their farms produce either for selling or for exhibit purposes. Indeed, the experience one can get through this Festival is memorable and exciting. Both vendors and buyers will benefit from this event that is being held annually.

The event will feature a Maple Syrup challenge where challengers present their Maple Syrup concoction to the judging committee. Farmers and syrup hobbyists await this event where they can showcase the best of their farms produce. There are also other entertaining activities for the kids to enjoy like: parlor games, play areas, face painting and open hands-on classes.
