9 Hot Tips On Making Disney World More Affordable

By Joseph Archibald

We all want to save money on our holidays and a trip to Disney World is certainly no different. Even spending a single day in Disneyland can cost us a small fortune, so taking a vacation there can mean taking out a second mortgage on your home. So with this problem in mind, what can we do to make this trip of a life time that much more affordable? Here are top 9 tips to really help keep the money in your pocket!

* Get hold of a Disney Rewards Credit Card. This card offers Disney points for every single purchase you make when using the card. These points can then be redeemed towards your ideal Disney vacation. You can use the points towards Disney merchandise, Disney restaurants, hotels, theme park tickets and more.

* Try to visit off-peak. If you can get there when most of the kids are back to school then not only can you take advantage of cheaper than average prices but you no doubt will save a lot of time too.

* Get hold of an annual pass. An annual pass will help to lower the cost of access to the theme park and also reduces the cost of some theme park rides, so if you are a fairly regular visitor its well worth having one of these.

* When is your birthday? If you are to register your birthday on the Disneyland Website you will be able to take advantage of a free one day pass. This pass will be mailed to you when you first register and even if you are unable to make it to Disney World on that particular day, it would make a lovely gift for someone close to you.

* Stay in a Disney World Hotel. May seem an expensive option but it saves on traveling time and gas costs. Disney's own bus service, monorail and boats are all free for guests and those staying in Disneyland hotels are offered free airport pickup and put down and extended theme park visiting hours too.

* Utilize the Disney camp sites. If you can forgo the luxury of hotel accommodation you can save a ton. You can take your RV or you can pitch a tent. Great fun for all the kids!

* Make your food purchases before you enter the theme park. May seem a bit too much effort but when you consider that even snacks and soft drinks when purchased in the theme park will soon add up to a decent sum of money then it does make sense to make a few purchases at a grocery store before you enter the theme park for the day.

* Take advantage of special offers on the Disney website. Its good policy to regularly check the Disney website because there are often very good deals to take advantage of on there. Its a good way to plan your itinerary too.

* Company discounts. With some companies other than Disney itself, you are entitled to a variety of discounts. For example, if you are with the AAA this will get you a number of discounts from Disneyland.
