A Vacation To Bournemouth - Dorset County

Bournemouth - Dorset County is a resort town that gives a visitor the opportunity to become immersed in the culture and fun of the town. When visiting Bournemouth there is so much to do for both single people and families, that you can easily spend more time there an expected.

A new surf reef, the first in Europe was built to accommodate the many surfers to visit Bournemouth each year. The reef is active throughout the year and there is beach patrol available to provide assistance if needed at any time.

The Oceanarium has over seventy five species of sea life. Interactive cameras have been installed on several of the exhibits so that you can zoom in on your favorite fish or turtle and get a close up look at them in their daily activities. The underwater tunnel allows you to see all of the sea life up close and contains several friendly green turtles that come right up to the tunnel glass to interact with you as you make your way through the tunnel.

There are over seven miles of sand that provides a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere for families and individual who take a holiday at Bournemouth. The accommodations throughout the town are focused on both individual and group comfort. A person can stay in the Victorian town hall hotel, or a modern hotel that overlooks the sea.

When you want to enjoy a long stroll along the coastline, you can take advantage of the Bournemouth and Poole promenade. This promenade gives you splendid views of the beach as you walk and has several access points to the beach. The Bournemouth piece is alive with activities that include a small amusement centre, shops, and restaurants for visitors.

The Bournemouth gardens date back to the'40s' and are an integral part of the town. From the lower gardens which host many of the events in Bournemouth, to the upper gardens that lead to part of the large parks, the gardens are breathtaking. The gardens have paths that are sheltered by massive trees and are home to many rare species of wildlife.

The Bournemouth lower gardens host many of the festivals and events that occur throughout the year. The gardens are best known for the many varieties of floral bedding that envelope the area. The central gardens lead to the town centre. And, the upper gardens provide a beautiful walk along streams and foliage leading to the park.

Among the many regular activities that you can plan on attending are the Annual Air Festival. Participants from all over the world attend the festival and you get an opportunity to see many flying stunts and acrobatics during the festival. There is also an Annual Literary Festival. Mary Shelley is buried in the nearby cemetery and Oscar Wilde taught at the nearby college. There have been many artists and writers who have made Bournemouth their home.

Finding the starting point for your Bournemouth vacation may be difficult. To plan your route, you may want to take advantage of the Bournemouth Eye. The helium balloon takes guests up over three hundred feet to get a complete view of the town and countryside of Bournemouth.

The town offers an exciting and fun nightlife that is filled with music and dancing. The restaurants provide an international cuisine that suits any palate. You will find galleries, shops, and boutiques throughout the town that provide a wonderful assortment of unique items.
