Guide to Spain

Traveling to Spain is a very popular holiday destination for many people, although most people will travel to here during the summer months it's also a great location to travel to throughout the rest of the years.

There are lots of different things for anyone to do during any season, no matter what the weather's like. There are lots of outdoor and indoor attractions which means there is always something to see and do! Outdoor winter activities can include water sports, rock climbing, and skiing. There are also plenty of other things to do including visiting museums, churches and enjoying a number of the different festivals which are held throughout the year.

Outdoor Activities

A lot of people wont be aware that there are actually a number of outdoor activities which can be done during the winter as well as the summer. Most people just think that outdoor activities are just restricted to the summer. There are numerous exciting outdoor activities throughout Spain that you can enjoy all year round.

Perhaps the biggest attraction to the region is the weather, and beaches. The Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca are two of the most popular regions for tourists to travel to in order to experience the fantastic beaches that Spain has to offer. There are a lot of different spas and resorts that are located in these areas and large cities around them.

A very popular summer attraction is the running with the bulls festival, this is held every July. People from all over the world will travel for this event and it is very well known.

Another very popular activity throughout Spain is skiing, if you are interested in this winter sport then you will need to make sure you visit some of the mountainous areas of Spain. There are some world class ski resorts which can be found in Catabunya, Aragon and Malaga. It's possible to enjoy skiing throughout the winter, and into the late spring.

Other very popular outdoor activities include rick climbing and of course hiking. There are a number of popular destinations for these activities, and these are very well known with climbers. You can either go rock climbing by yourself, or with a group of climbers. Going with a group is normally better if you're are a climber with less experience.

Attractions in Spain

There are a number of attractions throughout Spain which are world famous. All of the major cities have something very famous to offer, including Barcelona and Madrid. There are for example a number of very big museums.

Other towns and cities have other museums that display a variety of different things from art to the history of Spain.

During the spring months there are holy week activities, all of which are very interesting. These are held throughout the country, and even small villages will have something going on. There are processions, activities and a number of plays. There are also things to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus, and it's a really nice way to enjoy your religion.
