Situated perfectly in the center of the Great Alpine Valleys, the small town of Bright has a population of just 2700. The four seasons come to life with an abundance of colour which makes it ever more attracting to tourists and visitors.

With so much to do, for such a small town, you will not go home disappointed. The monthly market attracts so many people, mainly because it is a shoppers paradise. You will find many treasures, handmade items, special gifts, leather and wood work, ethical items and so much more. There is a wealth of freshly made or home grown food goods to sample, like the wine and ale, fruit, vegetables, cheeses and meat, but it doesn't stop there, when your ready for a rest, the local performers are on hand to entertain you and the children with animal balloon making, crafts and face painting.

In the spring and summer months some of the favourite activities are hiking and walking through the bush, bush camping, visiting national parks and fossicking, these are just a couple of ideas as the adventures and activities list is seemingly endless. The winter months in Bright will not let you down either with an abundance of snow sports and activities on offer. You will not be bored in this town, no matter what you like doing.

Hiking and walking in the bush really lets you connect with nature and the outdoors, being wonderfully surrounded by mountains, valleys and creeks, for sure you can imagine just how beautiful the views really are. There are miles of walks you can do to take it all in and get the camera at the ready for the amazing picture perfect shots. Take a picnic with you and enjoy your surroundings of scenic sights.

Bush camping is another pastime which is popular and fun to do with family and friends. With different national parks and forests scattered about, it means there are ample places to set up camp and get the camp fire going ready to tell stories around and toast those marshmallows. A great adventure for outdoor lovers.

Give fossicking a go, its different, exciting and not many people can say they have done it. You can have the chance to search for little treasures, such as gold, unusual rocks and stones and fossils. Its an interesting activity to try and will be fun for you to see what you can dig up.

The explosion of colours, throughout the four seasons is radiant and striking, so its no wonder that Bright is well liked.
