We slept at the Landmark Hotel London for a special event. We'd reserved a Deluxe room but ended up upgraded at check in to an Executive room looking over the Winter Garden atrium. Registering has been what we expect from a 5 star hotel. Professional, controlled and also well-mannered with the member of staff coping with you only without any other potential distractions. The room requests had been fulfilled without being prompted, even for the upgraded room and we were shown to the lifts by the front desk staff. It absolutely was a good start.
The room was beautiful - huge, tastefully furnished (in a Four Seasons layout) with a few good details as an umbrella in the vestibule area and digital weighing scales!. Like the room, the restroom was large with individual dressing/sinks areas, bath and significant walk-in shower and independent toilet. Water pressure was great. The only disadvantages have been the very outdated CRT television set as well as the lacking room safe that left a hole over the minibar.
The room was really calm and the windows offered great sound prevention however there seemed to be little activity inside the atrium eventually after sunset.
We'd breakfast in the atrium's Winter Garden included in our room charge. The meal was outstanding. Possibly the very best Complete English breakfast I've had however it does come at a price. Still it's all offered on Royal Doulton and you really are within the uncommon setting of relaxing below a glass roof in the middle of palms in central London. Service was effective although we'd a bit of a wait for the grilled part to arrive. A good feel was the supply of full-size cafetieres and teapots per individual.
It is really worth going for a quick wander round the hotel to understand the building background as one of the unique railway terminus hotels complete with stained glass windows and chandeliers.
Employees at reception certainly are a credit to the hotel and I could happily stop at The Landmark once again.
