Hawaii is a unique location. It is located within the middle of the Pacific and it is as far away from a continent as a place may be. It is home to numerous distinctive flora and fauna, and it also produces numerous special items.

Can you imagine that one of Hawaii's leading exports is bottled drinking water? Well it's true. But this bottled drinking water is not like any other bottled water within the globe. It does not originate from a pure mountain stream. Instead it arises from the bottom of the ocean. Water, out of melting snow in Alaska, travels in an undersea current to Hawaii. This journey takes more than one thousand years. Several companies extract this water, get rid of the salt and bottle it. A great deal of this distinctive bottled drinking water is sold in Japan, but folks from the U.S. are beginning to purchase it too.

Another item that Hawaii is well-known for is anthurium flowers. These South American plants had been brought here within the 1800s and have become a huge sector of the Hawaiian economy. Many new varieties were created by local growers along with the university and they are shipped from Hawaii to many different areas of the planet.

Hawaii is additionally well-known for Macadamia Nuts, particularly chocolate covered ones.
