The entire appearance of the conservatory changes in line with the various seasons. In winter, the whole area is transformed into a winter wonderland with polar bears and penguins. A recent winter season display included a 45 foot tall Shasta Fir tree decked with ornaments and candles. Choreographed lights added a spectacular effect to the whole exhibit much to the satisfaction of the hundreds of Christmas time visitors who walked in here.
