Rhodes remains a popular holiday destination for people all around the world. One of the reasons that Rhodes has stayed one of the most popular places to go on holiday is because the town is rich in history. You literally do take a step back in history. Rhodes offers winding streets which are oozing in history, with very little construction work having taken place for centuries. From medieval ruins through to five star hotels offering the latest beauty treatments through to parks, Rhodes is a holiday destination suitable for people of all ages.

There are plenty of historical sites to visit, which is ideal for holiday makers looking to uncover Rhodes' history. Pop your walking boots on and head up to Filermos Hill if you want to explore the medieval ruins in and around Rhodes, remembering to take a good supply drinking water and sun cream. There are also plenty of castles to explore in Rhodes, as well as the historical ruins. The infamous Acropolis of Rhodes, dating back to centuries ago, is a popular tourist spot.

Once you have explored the history behind this beautiful holiday destination, take to the beach to soak up the rays. Rhodes offers plenty of beaches, ideal for taking a stroll along or swimming in. With crystal clear waters, Rhodes is the ideal place to try snorkelling or body boarding. With so any activities taking place on the beach, it is suitable for people of all ages.

Rhodes' beaches are great if you are seeking a water based adventure, as there are plenty of aqua sports on offer. As well as swimming in the delightful waters, sports such as surfing or diving are also on offer in Rhodes. Some of those most beautiful wildlife in the world can be seen in Rhodes, including bright coral and swarms of tropical fish that you can get close to. Rhodes also offers the chance to try paragliding.
