Creativity And Advancement Made By Scandinavian Airlines During The Twentieth Century

By Lex Simian Xavier

In the not so distant past, there are several intriguing tales regarding the airline industry and Scandinavian Airlines is one that has had several ups and downs. If an airline is capable of staying in business for several decades than that proves to be something exciting. The simple reason is the airline industry is one of the toughest in the world.

In the middle of the 1950s, Scandinavian Airline Systems (SAS) took off. The first airline company on earth that took a trans-polar flight is Scandinavian Airline Systems.

Most airlines around the world have done this. They looked for ways to expand and capture as much market share as possible. Garnering the domestic flight routes within Scandinavia is what made them succeed. Partial or full control of smaller airlines was the goal. Working hard to do the same around the world they were able to acquire Air Canada and the company that owned Continental Airlines.

In 1997, another smart business by Scandinavian Airlines took place. SAS, Air Canada, United Airlines, Lufthansa and Thai Airways formed a system named Star Alliance.

Scandinavian Airlines, also known as SAS, is a worldwide airline that has some of their most important center points in Europe and throughout Scandinavia. Being owned by three countries, as well as public stock possession, this is an attention grabbing example for a well-known airline. During the beginning years, SAS showed how improvements of travel routes could become quite profitable. This business was capable of acquiring incredible amounts of public awareness by taking a step in developing new airways.

A good deal of the achievements made by the company came about because of the predictions the management had during the end of the 20th century.
