Gay Travel Recommendations: Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and Acapulco

So enough of the congratulations because, with the spring season on the rise and the summer sun just around the corner, I know you are dying to know where you will be going for your next vacation.

One gay destination that is growing in popularity that you will be thrilled to visit is Puerto Vallarta. Exactly what makes this destination so special? To begin with it is awesome. When you combine the wonderful climate, a captivating ocean bay, a lush jungle, excellent beaches and rugged mountains you get the ideal destination for a weekend getaway.

Puerto Vallarta is a small city. But don't be quick to judge it by its size. Despite its small size, the city is truly a delightful city devoted to serve its visitors. This small city boasts of infrastructures of a modern resort while still retaining its old school Mexican charm.

This little city is home to excellent airports, charming restaurants, modern medical facilities, a supply of good drinking water, and a very safe environment, which makes this vacation destination seem like paradise. If those few things about Puerto Vallarta did not quite get your attention, then may be Acapulco is the one for you. Acapulco is all about sunny Pacific beaches, clean waters, and rugged mountains. It is also about cruise ships, an up-and-coming spring break destination and an ideal hot spot for both gay singles and couples.

Opposite to Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco is famous for its flamboyant gay bars and clubs. Its gay bars may not be that refined or upscale as most big city clubs, but that is what makes Acapulco a unique experience.

Last, but definitely not least, you may want to take a look at the terrific gay vacation destination of Cancun. There are many gay travelers that believe that there is no better vacation destination, which explains its popularity. Cancun is a haven for all tourists, especially the gay traveler.

The main attraction of this island paradise is the fun nightlife. Visiting the funky and upbeat clubs such as the Picante bar and the Karamba will surely light up the nights you spend in Cancun.

The Picante bar is the oldest gay bar in Cancun, while the Karamba is the biggest gay disco. You will have a blast partying under the tropical night sky in the open air disco at Karamba to the sounds of both international as well as local DJs. You will enjoy the nightly stage performances that feature drag queens lip synching Broadway show tunes as well as impersonators that dance to the hottest sounds. The party starts promptly at 10:30 p.m. and will likely last to the wee hours.

The Picante bar is still going strong after fourteen years in business. You may get lucky and be in Cancun to witness the annual beauty contest that is held during Carnival and can witness the crowning of The Queen. You will be able to see the owner of the bar and emcee, Mother Picante, introduce the line up of Vegas style strippers, dancers and showgirls.

Cancun is one place where you'll never grow hungry. The city is teeming with restaurants of local and international flavors.

And top it all, to make your gay vacation totally unforgettable, Cancun offers its gay friendly hotels. The places to stay in would the luscious Hyatt Cancun Caribe.
