Consumers Say on Trade Shows

By Mara Hernandez-Capili

As a consumer and a fan of craft fairs, I always see to it that I get the best experiences in making my purchase. I am fond of attending craft fairs as these are great venues where I can source cheap and useful finds. I always go to craft fairs where I can find unique and useful things for my own use. I usually keep some of the things I buy and others I wrap and give as presents.

As a responsible consumer I always prepare well before any purchase. Before going out, I already have in mind the things that I need to buy in order to save time and effort. It is always wise to have a vision of the product that I want before going to a fair. In this case, I would be spared of the necessary impulse purchases that sometimes happen to shoppers like me.

First I look for quality products. For me, quality means a reasonable price tag for a product. I dont mind spending more for an item which I know has a better or the best quality among its contemporaries.

Second, I must admit that having a good relationship with the seller is an important factor for me. There are times that I was able to buy stuff only because the seller was very accommodating and courteous all the time. She provided me with excellent information about the product and her way of dealing with respect ultimately had me to buy one of her products. It is true that hospitality can win you customers. A conscientious and honest business person can sure gain many customers from her good attitude.

These are mostly the things that consumers like me look for in trade shows. This may be helpful for people who are thinking of establishing a business in the craft fairs industry.
