Peace Memorial Park

When in Hiroshima, whether you know it or not, you are most likely going to end up here eventually. It is because the spot is just so huge. It is about 120,000 square meters. But all that nature is not all there is to it- there is also the Peace Memorial Museum. This museum is in fact made of two buildings focusing on the history of the city and even the dropping of the nuclear bomb and how it took its toll. So just a warning, some of the pieces may be rather bothering, so if you have the little ones along, you might want to censor some of areas, or just skip it altogether and stick to the beauty of the park or maybe just head on to the A bomb dome which is in fact the wrecks of what once was the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall.

Hiroshima Castle

A great way to really see ancient Japan is to journey to the Hiroshima Castle. This 5 story marvel is in fact also known as the Carp Castle. Just about everyone could enjoy this spot. You enter through the main gate and pass by the shrine of sorts. Then once inside, you could learn all about the Hiroshima, it's prized castle, and even Japanese castles altogether from the little museum built within the walls.

Shukkeien Garden

Mazda Museum
