Ford House Bed and Breakfast on the River Annalee, Cavan

An extraordinary visit is waiting for you at the Ford House B&B in Cavan, Ireland. We are all aware that the Irish are renowned for their hospitality. It is a location where the regular flow of interruptions is actually replaced by a silently flowing river, and the unpleasant sounds of busy traffic give way to those of singing birds.

The B&B, which is selected as a Commemorated Landmark, is also smartly furnished to offer the greatest in coziness. No two rooms are the same, but every one is attractively decorated with a historical armoire, superb European bed linens, a feather bed and a goose-down comforter. Each and every one of the rooms has a private bathroom. Along with, you will find alluring the fact that the rooms don't have tv sets to inundate anyone with the news reports of everyday life.

The accommodation consists of six beautifully decked out rooms, every single one with exclusive bathrooms, situated on the first floor. There is also a sitting area and adjoining deck with spiral staircase which brings you to the main deck below. The dining area, great room, decks and bedrooms at the rear of the Inn have excellent westward landscapes overlooking the Annalee/Erne river and the mountain ranges ahead. The front bedrooms overlook the forest where deers are often seen.

Meals can be served inside or perhaps on the covered deck, where guests are capable of savoring beautiful sunsets and afterward pleasure in the quiet/private hot tub beneath dazzling star-filled heavens (bath towels and gowns provided).

For your ease and comfort the Guest House has air conditioning and central heating and has high ceilings, along with skylights and wood flooring throughout the first floor. The living room features comfortable leather-based couches, rocking chairs and reclining chairs where you are welcome to put your feet up, loosen up next to the fire with a book, look at Direct TV, DVD or possibly take in the impressive views.

The B&B is located nearby Cavan town and happily accommodates around fifteen people and is centrally heated. Accommodations include seven bedrooms, four with queen beds and three with queen beds and double bunk beds. The Main Bedroom has a private bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub, and there are two more full bathrooms. The sitting room has comfy sofas, huge screen Television, VCR and satellite television. There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining room. A huge recreation room with fireplace and pool table is easily "modified" to a conference room. A roomy rear deck with comfy patio furnishings and grill is perfect for those warm nights! There is furthermore a fantastic sheltered pavilion for outdoor activities.

When it is time for you to have a little excitement, please take a plunge in the mineral water pool, play croquet or even volleyball, ride around town on one of the bikes, or simply sit by the river and relax for a while. Watching birds from the Adirondack chairs overlooking the river is a favorite pastime of Ford House B&B guests. Binoculars and bird watchers' guides are accessible. The Sanctuary is just a short walk away.

Don't allow a visit to Cavan pass without spending a minimum of one day at the Ford House B&B. It may not be your most exciting visit, but it will certainly be one of your best.
