Things To Do Around The Many Oregon Coast Vacation Rentals

By Amy Nichols

Somewhere along the 365 miles of coastline, you'll find the perfect Oregon Coast vacation rentals of your dreams. For convenient day trips, choose one that is in the middle of many attractions that interest you. No matter what time of the year you are there, it is likely that you will find many interesting places to go.

Not only are there a vast number of super beaches, but also national forests, tall lighthouses and an aquarium among the best aquariums in the world. Over 500 species call this aquarium home. It would likely take more than one day to thoroughly inspect and enjoy these fantastic places.

The state of Oregon features a great number of volcanoes, both active and inactive. Volcanic flat topped mountains or soaring peaks are scattered throughout this part of northern United States. They are a part of what is called the Ring of Fire of the Pacific Ocean.

There are thousands of sea lions swimming in oceans off this coast and many of them find their way to Sea Lion Cave. This cave is full of the noisy, barking creatures lounging on precarious ledges, as pounding waves sweep into it. An elevator built into the rock makes reaching the viewing area simple.

If haunted buildings are your thing, the lighthouses spread along the shore will entice you. From your local rental you can easily find these towering lookouts. In past days, sailing men watched carefully for the lights shining from these guards of the coast. The lighthouse helped them avoid dangerous rocks and reefs.

Oregon Coast vacation rentals might be in the form of bed and breakfasts, camp sites or cottages. Also, attractions of interest will be within driving distance. Your choice of a rental will depend upon how adventurous you are.
