A Few Cool Places To Vacation For Your Consideration and Perhaps Book

By Ian Smith

How do you judge what are cool places to vacation? In this essay cool places to vacation are essentially small quality hotels where you might see someone well known. This definition and yours might not be the same but the choice of cool places to vacation in this article may be of some interest.

The Gran Hotel Son Net is tucked away in the countryside, nestled in its own attractive park, this completely modernized 18th century coral-coloured villa is only a short drive from Palma Mallorca, but it appears a world away from the mass of people and the hubbub of the city. The Son Net is a fascinating building, with it still having plenty of the original features.

The sort of people who come here want tranquillity, and an escape from all the pressures of modern life. Individuals that are used to very much top class service as a matter of course who expect cuisine that is exceptional, and are very happy to pay top money for that. You will get opulent suites with marble bathrooms, fine Mallorcan Spanish decorated rooms, and the peace and quiet that you desire.

You can choose your way of life here, with a beautiful swimming pool to chill out next to, especially if this is your honeymoon, and all you need is to relax. On the other hand there's a golf course, tennis courts and a spa to occupy. Naturally there's the fine restaurant to anticipate in the evenings.

The Casa Palacio Casa de Carmona is about 20 minutes from Seville and is situated in the lovely walled hilltop town of Carmona where you will find this gem of a hotel, rated amongst the most stylish in Spain. Actually staying here is like going back in time and being the guest of a Spanish nobleman as the building is a former palace dating from the sixteenth century.

The building has been lovingly modernised to provide a really romantic ambience. Just think about all this crammed with antiques, even a chess room and a library where there is an honour bar. The rooms, and indeed the hotel does have a a somewhat faded air but this just adds to the ambience. You'll enjoy the restaurant, the willing staff, but most of all if you're the sort of person who just wants to lie back in the shade in one of the courtyards, reading a novel, smell the scent of jasmine and forget the world for a short time it is the perfect place.

If your dream is a pristine blue lagoon in French Polynesia with legendary views of Bora Bora then Vahine Private Island Resort should be checked out. It's an awesome place to stay though not for folk who want to lie by a pool or need air conditioned rooms. Vahine Island is rustic, with touches of luxury. It's been kept small deliberately, so there are only three houses on stilts over the water and 6 beach houses, and 3 beach bungalow apartments.

Everything is made with local wood and bamboo and the beach bungalows are nearly overwhelmed by gaily colored hibiscus and bougainvillea. There's no air conditioning so that the overwater bungalows would be a sensible option for the cooling sea breezes. You will find no pool but with a warm clear sea down a couple of steps from your bungalow it is not exactly required.

One of the outstanding features of Vahine is the cuisine, and you will eat top flight French cuisine mingled with with local seafood and exotic flavours. This is the ideal romantic escape, particularly for folks who value a spectacular setting, good food, without forgetting the white sand beaches.

Hopefully you'll have found these cool vacation places to your taste. Even better nice enough to research further.
