This has become necessary as the area surrounding Ngurah Rai is absolutely developed and with the rise in the tourism industry Ngurah Rai won't be able to cope with the amount of air traffic in the future and there's no more room for growth in the area.
The existing hotels and resorts will shortly only be a small part of all the available places to stay. It seems like Bali is about to become a popular traveler destination for generations to come.
