By Ricardo d Argence

Are you ready to go on your gay getaway off to a beautiful paradise? More than likely you have purchased the tickets and you are all packed and ready to get going. However, before you get started, it's important to read this article and the advice it has to give you.

If you're the peaceful type, I think you should choose Puerto Vallarta. This Puerto is a small peaceful city that still has its old-style Mexican charm.

Acapulco has all the flamboyant gay bars and clubs and all the mixture of unique gay cultures from different areas of the world converging in one place. In Acapulco, its gay gone wild. So if you want to be part of it, then looks like Acapulco is your gay vacation of choice.

But before you decide, there is still the last place that you can go and it just no other simple gay destination, because I am talking about Cancun, the unrivaled gay traveler's destination.

Cancun is simply unrivaled in the gay community as their choice for a vacation. Cancun is a haven for the gay and lesbian community and the city is extra-friendly to this part of the demographics.

When you visit Cancun, you'll find the people to be quite open minded and very kind and helpful. Karamba Bar as well as Picante Bar are two great gay bars to visit in the area, and there is a huge amount of night life to enjoy.

In Cancun, you may also visit the Nichupte Lagoon. This is a place that offers an Aqua World Jungle Tour that brings you to the Punta Nizuc, which is a shallow reef that is ideal for snorkeling adventures. Then if you are looking for a history lesson, Tulum is the place as it is one fine example of Mexican and Mayan history and culture. Tulum was once a major center for maritime trade and you can still sense it when you go there.

Not to be left out in the fray is one of the gay hot spots in Cancun: their beaches. And the beach that stands out is Playa Delfines. This beach is easy to find as it is located at the southern end of the Hotel Zone, south of the Hilton. The beach is very popular as it is even tagged as the unofficial gay beach in Cancun.

One of the best things you'll want to do in Cancun is to go out and go swimming along with the dolphins. Dolphins are very used to humans and they get on with humans quite well so you have nothing to fear.

There is a lot of places to go if you really want to try this. At the Riviera Maya, you can have a real adventure with dolphins at Xcaret or Xel-Ha, two of the many dolphin sanctuaries.

The Parque Nizuc marine park also offers the participants a chance to swim with dolphins. There is another places where you can do it, like Aventura Spa Palace, Cancun Palace, Cozumel Palace and Isla Mujeres.
