How To Get Rid Of Jet Lag While On A Private Jet Flight

A long flight, whether commercial or with a private jet charter, is going to produce the effects of jet lag if one isn't careful. You don't have to put your mind or body through it, however, as there are methods to combat the effects. Little effort or money is required to protect yourself from jet lag.

Jet lag is the feeling you get when you become tired, experience a headache, feel queasy, or otherwise are negatively impacted by your flight. The treatment actually starts before you board the jet with light exercises. Good circulation is key in preventing anxiety and headaches on a long trip. Light jogging, aerobics, and Yoga are all great options to consider at this point.

Private jets are a better choice than commercial jets because they allow you to relax. When you are relaxed, you experience an extreme reduction in stress levels. Flying on a commercial flight will only increase your stress, as you are pitted next to random strangers with little room to spare. If the option presents, choose a private jet charter for more comfort.

Another large contributor to jet lag is adjusting to a new time zone. It is highly recommend you take actions in adjusting your sleep accordingly- even if you need the rest. Don't allow yourself to sleep long if it is midday- instead use an alarm to wake up after an hour or two and then get to bed early that night. You may feel drowsy after the nap, but it will hold you over until the night comes.

Stay hydrated while in the air. Water will be your friend- as long as any light medicines that work to cure a headache. The more water you drink the better, as the hydration will keep your body running smoothly. Stay away from any drinks that contain alcohol, as this will only contribute to the jet lag that you experience. Even small amounts are not recommended if you wish to avoid jet lag.

If you find that you are having problems adjusting to sleep or nullifying jet lag, there are medications that you can obtain. Over the counter drugs can help aid your sleep and relaxation, while prescription drugs can do more- although they are probably not necessary. If you can, try to take on the flight without medication.
