The Debate On Using Private Jets Or Helicopter Charters

By Chris Channing

Quick travel will usually involve the usage of aerial vehicles- such as the jet plane or the helicopter. Most often we think of jet planes when we think of business executives needing to get somewhere fast. That fact isn't quite true, since helicopters are not only cheaper much of the time, but more practical.

Jets do indeed get to where they need to fast- but they won't necessarily get you to the destination or even close to it. Airports can be located many miles away from the destination you have to be at, and this can slow you down as you have to find a vehicle to get there. Helicopters can land virtually anywhere, and offer a more quick solution.

If the nature of your travel is for pleasure, the helicopter ride will be more enjoyable for you. Jet planes move much too fast, and travel too high, for a traveler to really take in the scenery. Helicopters can travel at a lower altitude and at slower speeds so that you may take in the full effect of your surroundings. When on vacation, this is a must if funds permit.

Those who do work in film also prefer the use of a helicopter due to the ability of a helicopter to remain still while in the air. This makes it perfect for film producers to get a perfect shot. It's also a great method of a business taking a picture of their offices- which can be used in print advertising to show off the level of professionalism the business has.

In movies we see helicopters as being overly noisy and generally something we wouldn't want to be strapped into for a long period of time. That isn't the case with a chartered helicopter, which is designed for comfort. You can even have the great cuisine found on private jets in your chartered helicopter. You can still relax and have a great time much as you would in a private jet, and you can even enjoy entertainment such as movies and games.

No one likes to throw money away. The real debate comes to how much each option costs. The truth is that the cost largely depends on the length traveled, how long, and how many passengers you have. In the ideal situation, a helicopter would be used for a medium to small length of flight time, while jets are best suited for long periods of flight time. Getting quotes is the logical next step.

In Conclusion

Flying via air is considered a luxury today. You will pay more on average than ground travel, but in some cases there is no other option. Companies in major cities will have more information on how to get your next transportation schedule lined out.
