When people say Gahanna, there is one word that they have in mind: Herbs. The May Herb Day in Gahanna, Ohio is a celebration of the functionality of herbs in the kitchen. Herbs culinary recipes and treats will be out for sampling. The finest restaurateurs of the state will be present to show off their cooking prowess to the spectators.

Culinary experts make use of herbs as aid in their cooking adventure. In the kitchen, herbs are regarded with importance because they can improve any meal. First off let us identufy some famous herbs that can be use for cooking. These are: rosemary, sage, tarragon, oregano, thyme and chives.

Oregano is great for white and tomato sauces and stews. It is awesome to place a great aroma and flavor to the sauce. Chives are great for salad dressings and dips especially for its bright color that can make the dish nice and pretty -and also delicious to look at.

Herbs can truly make an ordinary and familiar tasting food into extraordinary. It will make people wonder what secret ingredient you added in the tomato pasta and the Ceasar salad.
