Italian Festival: McAlaster

At McAlester, Oklahoma there is an Italian festival that is much awaited by locals and tourists alike. In here, Italy and its finest offerings are being regarded through lessons and tastings of culinary treats. People from near and far gather to celebrate this annual affair to rediscover and celebrate the historical and cultural significance of Italy.

An Italian vacation is often dreamed of and coveted by many. Who wouldn't? As Italy is known not only to be the romance capital of the world but also the culinary capital of the world. Italy boost with fine historical and cultural significance that is truly world class. Italian streets are also lined with great Architectural edifices that has a quaint and marvelous history to tell. This is Italy and living the Italian life in America is really far from impossible.

Italy is a city that is brimming with life. It is the center of the world's arts industry, being the home of the most celebrated Louvre Museum which houses some of the most influential and important paintings/ artworks in the world. Italian chefs will be glad to whip out their excellent dishes to satisfy the cravings of your palate.

Important and fun lessons will be provided by the experts. There will be a Wine and Cheese tasting event that will keep everyone informed on the basics of choosing the right cheese for the right type of wine. Instructors will ask you how to use a cheese clock. In here you will be taught how to make your own "cheese clock", a must skill when attending social and formal cheese tasting gatherings. A cheese clock is a plate with the different types and kinds of cheeses of your choice arranged in the cheese clock manner.

6-9 will contain light and soft cheeses (to be paired with wine or light wines). 9-12 and 12-3 with medium to dark cheeses to be paired with reds. 3-6 will be for the hardest and nuttier cheeses to be paired with heavier wines.
