Travel Spain

Although many people think of Spain vacations as a summer destination, there is much to do in all seasons. There are many unique experiences and attractions to enjoy at all times of the year. Outdoor activities like skiing, water sports and climbing are perfect for nature lovers. Museums, churches and festivals allow you to experience the history and culture of this unique country.

Travel Spain outdoor activities

Although many people think of outdoor activities limited in the summer, there is much to do throughout the year in Spain. Depending on the area you are visiting, there are activities in all seasons to enjoy the outdoors and nature.

The beaches, sun and the Mediterranean coastline are a popular tourist destination. The Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol are the most popular places to enjoy the beaches and water sports in the summer months. The weather is sunny and warm. There are many spas and in big cities and small towns of the Mediterranean coast.

Running with the Bulls is another popular summer attraction during the summer. This festival is celebrated in the month of July. The festival attracts people from all over the world. If you are brave, you want May to attend the race with the bulls. Otherwise, you can watch the event and join other parts of the festival.

Skiing is a popular attraction in many mountain areas of Spain. Some of the most beautiful ski resorts are located in that country. There are excellent ski resorts in Aragon, Torremolinos, Malaga and Catabunya. Skiing can be enjoyed in different areas of early winter through late spring months.

Rock climbing and hiking are outdoor activities in many parts of Spain. There are several sites across the country that are popular with Avid climbers. You can go with a rock climbing tour or with a private group. The visits are a good idea for less experienced climbers. Many include some basic instruction in climbing.

Travel in Spain attractions

There are many world-renowned museums in cities around Spain. Madrid and Barcelona are home to several major museums. Other small towns and villages are home to museums that showcase art and history. These give you the opportunity to experience the culture and history of each region.

Holy Week activities are attractions in the spring. They are held in towns and cities in this predominantly Catholic nation. There are plays, parades and events commemorating the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus. Catholics around the world visit Spain during Holy Week. They are interesting to many non-Catholics as well. There are festivals around Holy Week activities across the country.
