The Nile river which is home to the famous Nile Cruises spans more than six thousand miles. Alongside each side of the river is landscape that draws visitors from all over the world to see and enjoy. Such is the history of this area that it seems to have been untouched over many years.

Ancient natives of this country first sailed their boats in the year 3200 B. C. Later Europeans started to travel on the river in houseboats. Each house boat would a few sailors, an interpreter, a cook and a waiter. The interpreter was known as dragoman and the houseboats were referred to as dahabiya.

The dahabiya is considered to be more popular as it is contains a number of luxuries. Other people tend to take the barges that seem to over populate the river. While touring in this way, guests are permitted to tour the temples and the tombs.

Luxurious cruises are available that offer a tour of the history of the country, including the ruins, the palaces, tombs and temples. It is said that the best way in which to enjoy the spectacular architecture of the monumental architecture is to attend a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple. The Temple of Horus is one of most preserved templesand is located near Edfu and Esna.

The boat trips start and finish in the town of Aswan. Guests are able to take in some beautiful scenery in terms of the landscape that is offered here. The sunsets are a sight to behold and will not easily be forgotten. Many people come to the area when there are holidays and festivals taking place.

The trips on the boat are five star due to the personal attention and luxury that is to be enjoyed on the boats. Families and elderly people alike will enjoy this trip. The boats include a formal atmosphere and the cabins are luxurious resulting in a deluxe five star event. Some of the affairs on the Nile Cruises dictate that people dress semi smart.
