Fun Spots For All In The Sunshine Coast

Not only is the Sunshine Coast one of the most beautiful places to visit, with some of the nicest weather year round, but it is also home to many wonderful National Parks for you to enjoy and explore. Here is a list of some of National Parks in the Sunshine Coast region.

If exploring waterfalls is what you desire, then you will defiantly want to visit the MAPLETON FALLS NATIONAL PARK. This park gets it's name from the Mapleton Waterfall, located in the park. The Waterfall pours out from the western area of the Blackall Range.

MOUNT COOLUM NATIONAL PARK - A region with rich wetlands, be sure to check out the free flying falcons in this park, they are truly amazing.

The NOOSA NATIONAL PARK is a great place to get close and personal with some of the most famous cretures in Australia. Koalas, froglets and black Cockatoos all call this park home.

The GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK has distinctive volcanic plugs which rise abruptly out of a patchwork of farms and forests. It makes for an excellent day of rock climbing, scenic drives or taking a bushwalk.

SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND GREAT WALK - A web of trails that runs through 58 kilometers of Maleny Forest Reserve land, this walk will actually take you from the Mapleton Falls Park to the Kondalilla National Park . This type of hike is only for those who are prepared for a long journey and who are physically fit.

COOLOOLA NATIONAL PARK - This park offers many modes of getting around including four wheel drive vehicles, river boat, or just hiking on foot. There are tons of walking trails and many offer picturesque views of the coast line as well as incredible sights throughout the rain forest. Explore in amazement this rugged national park and stay the night if you dare.
