Different Ways To Experience Luxury In Peru

By Darcy Gautreau

The Andes, Inca trail and Amazon no longer have to be enjoyed with backpacks, sleeping bags and bad food. Those who prefer haute cuisine and five star residential experiences can enjoy the area in style. There are many different luxurious options in the area, all with their own possibilities. It's not difficult to find luxury in Peru, and many different trips offer it.

Extreme travelers who take on the Amazon by foot find the area daunting, with uninhabitable terrain, harsh weather and difficult hikes. However, the Amazon forest that transects the Peru is fairly easy for luxury travelers, with low levels of insect life. It can even be experienced on a cruise across the Amazon River.

Many say there is no area in the world more exquisite than the Amazon, and those who visit might view land no other has seen before. The area is remote with a highly dense population of wildlife. When undertaken in five star class, it's far more pleasurable.

Peruvian cuisine is considered among the best on the globe and will probably form part of much of the dining done in the region. The Tahuayo river is an excellent fishing area, so locals will be seen taking advantage. Tourists may also take part, and have the chance of catching piranha, which habituate this river.

There's much bird life in the area, and the sloth will be seen by those who look carefully enough. Visitors will be able to spot more wildlife later on their trip as they become used to the scenery. Pink dolphins, however, won't be difficult to spot and can be seen at the Iguana Islands.

There are many iguanas, as the name suggests, at the Iguana Islands. There are also river dolphins there. The locals think the pink and grey dolphins become human at night and walk into the village to steal the good looking women and men from the tribes.

Deep in the rain forest tourists will see endangered otters. There are many different species of primate as well. Each have their own separate habitats, but most are seen close to the Amazon river in Peru's regions. Alligators may be spotted too.

The Inca trail supplies a trip more tightly based on history, and can be done with luxury. This famed trip gives an experience of many archaeological sites and the Andes. Comfortable tents housing beds can be provided and some tour operators serve fine cuisine and champagne.

The inca trail first moves from Lima to the Sacred valley at Cuzco. Many archaeological sites are in the area and there are both religious and residential ruins. The first day will take tourists through the famous cloud forest, which is a tropical region with plenty of clouds at canopy level.

Dead Woman's pass is the most difficult climb on the Inca trail and happens during the first days. The Rucurucay ruins are seen within a few days, but the most spectacular, Machu Picchu, will be seen in the first week. There is plenty of luxury in Peru, even for the adventurous traveler.
