Long Beach New York Holiday: Social and Cultural Events in New York City

There are few places in the U.S. that can boast the beauty and convenience of Long Beach, CA. Let's not forget about the ingenuity and progressiveness. It is a perfect blend of beachy atmosphere with an urban feel. The city offers the best of both worlds. As the city is located on the San Pedro Bay, it is home to one of the busiest ports in the nation as well as many notable companies. Strong Job Base: Living in downtown Long Beach offers the convenience of a strong local job base and a short commute. With industry and the exceptionally strong tourism laying the foundation, working locally is always a strong possibility.

Culture: Downtown residents never lack for cultural offerings. Downtown Long Beach is alive with performing and cultural arts and is home to the renown Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center, Aquarium, Museum of Art, and the Symphony Orchestra. Ever summer, there is a 3-day Bayou festival that features some of the best of Louisiana, outside of Louisiana. The city is also home to the famous Long Beach Blues Festival which attracts some of the biggest names in the business.

Fourth of July in New York -The independence day is celebrated in full swing and passion with long marches and reviving what it means to be a free nation! Fireworks mark this day as more special and important. Labor Day in New York -A public holiday is celebrated in New York on September 4, 2007 to appreciate hard work and honest toils of the labor mass.

Halloween in New York -31st of October 31 is marked by dark parties, children celebrating costume and dance functions with many other festivities such as invading hunted homes and watching horror movies.The Village Halloween Parade is a well known annual festivity which draws up more than 2 million people in Greenwich having participants,dancers and spectators

The mission of the American Museum of Straw Art is to foster an understanding of the straw arts in all of its complexities, through various exhibitions of cultural significance, folklore, history and technique. The museum is most popular for its showcasing of straw hats and bonnets, Swiss Straw Lace, woven straw elements, straw applique and the coiled straw technique. The gift shop is also popular because it sells some rare merchandise that can be found nowhere else. As you can see, Long Beach offers more than just a beach lifestyle. Although this is a pleasant element of the city, it is nice to experience a cultural diversity that is surprising and delightful at the same time.
