Why is Yorkshire so special?

Weekend breaks are ideal for exploring parts of the country that you may not have thought about before. Yorkshire is an immensely appealing place to visit, and more people are beginning to realise how much this incredible area has to offer. Situated in the north of the country Yorkshire is the largest county in the UK.

Within the historic boarders of Yorkshire, there are areas which are considered to be the greenest in the country. There are vast expanses of natural beauty and miles upon miles of the un-spoilt countryside making this the perfect place for last minute hotel deals. Both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors are popular locations for weekend breaks.

The world famous Flying Scotsman is located in this museum, amongst other fascinating exhibits and displays. However, there is every intention of this incredible train being put back on the tracks, and allowing people to go back in time.

The extreme landscapes and magnificent beauty make Yorkshire an incredible place to visit and gives it the strong character that people have come to expect. From your hotel, you will be able to see the popular Whitby Bay and enjoy the mystery that surrounds this town. The magnificent Abbey that looks out to the North Sea can be discovered by climbing the 199 steps to the summit.
