Finding Frederick MD Hotels For Business & Leisure

By Steve Johnson

The accommodations and services for visitors in a town usually reflect the values of its people and heritage, and so it is with Frederick MD hotels. Frederick is a charming and historic small town between Baltimore and Washington DC, with plenty of Civil War heritage and Victorian architecture. Not to mention the fact that it is a major hotspot for antique lovers with all kinds of galleries and shops.

This pleasant small town getaway hideout atmosphere permeates the hotels too, where guests can expect a warm welcome and individual attention from the friendly staff. Actually, the guests do need to be treated individually, because travelers come here for many different reasons. Some come from the big cities looking for getaways in the orchards and wineries around the town, while others are visiting Fort Detrick.

Some visitors are Civil War history buffs, doing the rounds of all the area hotspots like Gettysburg. Some are art and architecture buffs, busy checking out the historic downtown buildings and clustered spires. Others, including tourists, come to see attractions like the mural bridge and browse the many galleries and art dealers in town.

Yet others may be business travelers on work-related trips to BP Solar, or some other large employers. Be that as it may, all of these travelers are likely to be able to secure suitable accommodations in certain areas such as Spectrum Drive. The location is convenient for visiting all the major attractions and businesses in Frederick, including Fort Detrick, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, Frederick Sports Complex and Francis Scott Key Mall.

Both family and business travelers will find the list of hotel facilities and amenities quite adequate. This means meeting rooms, a business center and banquet facilities, along with free high-speed internet. Parking will be complimentary, and so will the coffee and tea that is likely to be available for guests all day long.

Some establishments even offer free hot breakfasts. Most are also pet friendly and will allow children to stay for free, with rollaway beds available on demand. There'll be a coin-operated laundry and the hotel might also offer same day dry cleaning and laundry services.

A guest room here will be furnished with everything from work desks to satellite tv, microwaves, refrigerators and free in-room internet. All of this no doubt makes a stay in this charming town all the more memorable. But that's just half the story, because Frederick MD hotels are just as famed for offering service with a smile and personal attention to the needs of each guest.
