Cairns Queensland Australia is An Island Paradise

Australia is one of the worlds most beautiful countries with huge variations in its natural landscapes. Right down the centre you will encounter one of the driest and most arid landscapes on earth, along the south coast you will find green woodland and even snowy mountains at the right time of year, and along the eastern coast you will see luscious green rainforests, pristine beaches and tropical islands dotted all along the coast. At the top of the east coast sits Cairns, a city famed for giving any traveler access to one of the worlds most amazing natural wonders - the Great Barrier Reef. Lets look at some of the attractions of Cairns Queensland Australia.

The city of Cairns has an image of total relaxation and a very laid back feel to it. Here you will be able to take advantage of a host of different activities throughout the year, many of which take advantage of its location. One side you will have gorgeous sandy beaches and the other tropical rainforests. Due to the fact that the city sits near the equator, the weather is always warm and sunny, no matter what time of year you are there, you are likely to be blessed with gorgeous sunshine.

It is off the shore of eastern Australia that you will find one of the worlds most amazing natural wonders. The Great Barrier Reef stretches for thousands of miles down the coast and one of the best places to access it is from the city of Cairns. There are so many tour operators who will offer you an amazing day out and let you engage in some of the worlds finest diving and snorkeling.

The Daintree World Heritage Rainforest is also one of the city's main draws. There are several ways how you can see this and one of the best is to go up into the skyrail and see it all from above. You will be afforded wonderful views over the city, the beaches, the reef, as well as countless other sights such as the magnificent Barron falls.

There are also a host of different activities on offer that are sure to please any thrill seeker. For anyone who is looking to get the adrenaline pumping, there is nothing better than doing a skydive. This will enable you to get the best view of the region that you could possibly imagine.

Of course, if you are a little too old for a skydive or just feel that you'd rather not jump out of a plane today then you can always stay in one. Cairns also offers some great scenic flights that allow you to see all of the beautiful sights and take all the pictures in the world whilst doing so.

When it comes to the night time, the city will certainly not let you down. With a chilled and relaxed vibe, all sorts of revellers will be able to find a great venue to have a dance and a few drinks. If you are more keen on a simple meal out there are also dozens of great restaurants for you to enjoy offering different foods from all over the world.

It really doesn't matter who you are or what your interests are, there will always be something to entertain you in this spectacular city.

It is an absolute heaven to be exact. One thing that I really loved about Australia is the wonderful Great Barrier Reef. It is absolutely astonishing. I heard or read from somewhere that somebody actually tried to swim the length of it, is it even possible? Did they made it?
