Reichstag

You can also pay a visit to the parliament of the German Empire, Reichstag. After it was burnt down in 1933, it was reconstructed with a new sleek twist. One of the new parts that was added after the fire is the remarkable glass dome. So instead of wasting time waiting in line for the elevator, why not walk your way to the top. Because you have a spiral glass walkway that gives breathtaking 360 degree views of the city, this is definitely going to be one treat that you do not want to pass on. You positively want to pack your camera and a big bottle of water.

Berlin Wall

You need to visit the Berlin Wall. The longest stretch left of this great wall is the Eastside Gallery. The wall that once separated the east and west is now covered in interesting art. Aside from the hundred paintings, what really makes it interesting is the meaning behind each one. Imagine paintings of famous icons, abstract art, and some graffiti too. Not only because of its historical background anymore, this place is positively a sight to visit, without even having to spend a single cent.

Holocaust Memorial

Another great thing that you can do without having to shell out any cash it to see the Holocaust Memorial. There is no doubt about it, you have learned the history, heard the stories, and maybe even watched a couple of films on it, but nothing compares to the 5 acres of slabs dedicated to the Nazi victims. From there you can make your way to the underground information center where you could see all of the names of the known victims.

Tiergarten

For a more relaxing kind of stroll, you must find your way to the Tiergarten. What once was used as a hunting ground is today a gorgeous park filled with grassy laws, floral gardens, lush tress, and even a couple of lakes. If you don't want to spend, then you must pack your own lunch and have a picnic, however, there are numerous little cafes that are really inviting. But aside from your food, you won't be charged to enter the park.
