Canadian Rockies chalets make travel fun. These resorts are great places to relax and enjoy the crisp mountain air. They are excellent places to stay and use as bases for a range of recreational activities. They can be luxurious or Spartan in style, but they are all surrounded by breathtaking scenery and interesting wildlife.

This region is known for its incredible scenery and its wonderful array of outdoor activities. Fishing, hiking, backpacking and canoeing are all activities one can enjoy during Canada's long summer days. Winter visitors can enjoy snowshoeing, snowmobiling and skiing. Each season offers new activities to partake of.

There are many cabins in British Columbia that are nestled amidst incredible mountain scenery. Some are placed near crystal clear lakes and streams and others are up in high meadows or along major highways. There are many different types of cabin experiences a visitor to this region can enjoy.

The area is known for its exceptional abundance of mountain wildlife. In some places, Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep and mountain goats will come up to you at close range. Mule deer, elk and moose are also present and easy to photograph. Campers might get a real adrenaline rush if a bear or mountain lion comes near their cabin. These exciting creatures still roam the province in strong numbers.

There are several interesting places to stay in British Columbia. Resort cabins can be located in many parts of the province from the Pacific Ocean to the Eastern border where Alberta's Jasper and Banff National Parks touch the province. Each area has its own feel, but all are beautiful. Many cabins are within a few hours drive of either Vancouver or Calgary, giving urban residents a much needed respite from city life.

There are many activities to enjoy ranging from kayaking to mountain climbing. Wildlife photography and hiking are also popular. Fishing attracts many visitors as well in search of salmon, steelhead, trout and grayling. Some are caught on fly rods, others by using more traditional spinning tackle. The scenery alone makes the trip worthwhile, but many activities amplify the level of fun.

Canadian Rockies chalets give travelers a chance to experience serenity outdoors. These accommodations will put people up close to the splendor of the gorgeous peaks in the region. Alpine meadows, blue hued glaciers and herds of game make this a tourist paradise. Room prices vary, but affordable rates can be found, especially if you book reservations well in advance of your travel date. Summer is the peak season but some chalets are busy even during the off season months.
