Best Things To Do In Cape Town

By Mr Kamol Yodsuwan

Are you planning holidays to South Africa? If your answer is yes then do not miss out the beautiful Cape Town. Below you will find the reasons why.

Two Oceans Aquarium:

Two Oceans Aquarium is a highly recommended place to visit if you are travelling to Cape Town. Also, in the best area of the city, the Waterfront. This place is simply beautiful and one of the tours most recommended by tour operators.

Table Mountain:

Distinctive symbol of the city, the table mountain is a must-see... particularly recommended the trekking uphill, as there are well marked trails and the walking has a low difficulty (the mountain is 1083 meters tall)... but also there is an overhead cable car for the lazy ones or those who cannot do trekking for different reasons.

Cape of Good Hope:

Cape of Good Hope as with all the parks in South Africa is very well organized and the landscapes of the capes are impressive. This is an impressive natural reserve, which includes the southern half of the Cape Peninsula, about 40,000 hectares and a development of 40 km of coastline on the Atlantic Ocean. Its relief is low and rocky plateau covered by vegetation characteristic of the region known as "fynbos".

Robben Island:

Not to be missed to get to know part of the dark past of South Africa, Apartheid. (Now converted into a Museum) It used to be a prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were detained many years. See with my own eyes where Mandela spent so much time prisoner was really impressive and exciting. Please book in advance because the tour has great demand.

Boulders Beach:

About 30 kilometers from Cape Town, lies this beach which is home to a colony of about 3000 penguins (of the African penguin species). A system of bridges has been placed on the beach to walk between the nests and reach the beach where these animals are. There is also an interpretation centre. You can reach the beach and be fairly close to them.
