Portuguese Study Abroad In Brazil Programs And Other Things To Do

Without a doubt, acceptance to a overseas study opportunity is not something all students get to experience. Should you ever be give the chance to go to Brazil and study in Portuguese Schools, then by all means, you need to take this study opportunity; a hundred or so other kids would kill to get your chance. But of course this does not mean you should just shut yourself from the exotic beauty that is Brazil and just bury your nose in a book all through the semester or school year you will spend in the country. Brazil after all, is the largest country in South America and the home of some of the most beautiful beaches all over the world, where you can find the lush rainforests of the Amazon and its colorful, lively Carnivals.

So when you go to Brazil to study, it is a crime to not go out and experience what the country has to offer. If you enjoy different scenery and paining landscapes, then you will never go wrong with spending a weekend visiting Fernando de Noronha Island famous the world over for its breathtaking landscape views.

Belem with its busy ports and bustling cities is also another place to go to if you are more of the Amazon adventure junkie. The city proper is perfect for sightseeing with its modern architectures, towering skyscrapers, old historic churches and tree-line plazas. So other than the lessons you will get from the Portuguese schools, you will get to learn more about the country when you go sightseeing.

When in Brazil, Rio De Janeiro of course is a stop you should not miss with the Christ the Redeemer statue towering over the city. If you are catholic, then you may want to say a prayer or attend mass in the chapel built within the pedestal of the 125 foot statue.

Also known as the most beautiful city in the world, Salvador is where you will find your heart's contentment if you are into exploring Renaissance architecture. If you want to Portuguese in Brazil, you may look at some of the excellent schools in Salvador. If you want to experience a little bit of every culture in the world, then Sao Paulo is the place to be as it is the city considered to be the melting pot of Japanese, Arab, Italian and French cultures.

It's for sure, you are about to have the time of your life in Sao Paulo and everywhere else in Brazil. There is no denying the fact that living on one's own and studying in a foreign country is not easy; it is in fact riddled with challenges and it can get a little lonely a times but when you live and study in a country as beautiful and as alive as Brazil, then the occasional homesickness is but a small price to pay, isn't it?
