California Wine Country - Oh, What A Splendid Sight!

If you're planning a trip to California wine country, there are many resources available that can make your trip fun and enjoyable. You can choose from several self-planning guides available online and offline, thus allowing you to choose your own wine-tasting adventure. Well, you can go tour wineries in Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, Sonoma Valley and Mendocino, wineries whose family tradition goes back generations, or take a tour of nearby vineyards on foot, visit retail stores and go on wine tasting sessions that would have you drunk on information and intoxicated on enjoyment!

There are many ways in which you can travel through California wine country - of course, you wouldn't want the Cali cops to bust you for DUI, so you can tour via plane, train, automobile, jeep, bus, limousine, horseless carriage, why, you can even go all Jules Verne and take a hot air balloon ride! Many tour packages are available and can accommodate any travelers' desires and pocketbooks. Some of these tours, such as those in Sonoma and Napa Valley (a big hit among tourists) can be integrated into mountain biking trips, mystery theater and/or overnight accommodations at nearby resorts. You can book your vacations online and likewise customize them in unusual and interesting ways. And if you're one of those travelers who luuurves surprises, you'd be surprised to know, no pun intended, that some tour operators would make sure their packages include some things you may not have been expecting! Many packages can also be revised on a whim so you don't miss a thing, and of course, you can always visit again!

To find the tours that interest you most, you may begin by searching by destination, most popular tours, or by what activities various vineyards offer. The Internet is fully loaded with online references, and are replete with expert recommendations for travel, historical details and awe-inspiring vineyard scenery. California wine country is vast and statewide, with different offerings throughout the year. Also, it pays to be aware of the weather, so make discreet inquiries with the tour operators and vineyards before you travel to your destination of choice so you can be assured of a worry-free trip that you're sure to remember for the years to come!

You will also want to be pleasant all throughout, so be on the lookout for potential weather disturbances by coordinating with the tour operators and/or vineyards you will be visiting to get the right recommendations and ensure the safety and enjoyment in your trip!

Additionally, you just might be able to add a few tourist destinations to your visit, depending on the area which interests you the most. Research will be your best friend in a case like this, so would advance booking, because remember, these tours fill up at a rapid pace! Be prepared for something out of the ordinary when visiting California wine country - it will make your time and money worth it!
