Dizzying Growth and Getting Through Recession for Jet Airways India

By Rayford Donathan

You probably had no idea about all the very many facets of air travel are dictated by professionals such as Glasgow architects, it will become obvious when you set about to increase your understanding. We had no idea, either, until it became clear that we had to find out more.

There were people ahead of us with knowledge, and we are the same with others like you - nothing different. There are always things you need to be aware of because sometimes those things are what you want to stay away from. You will sometimes find out about things that you definitely do not want to have any parts of.

If you are confident, then there will just be less that will intimidate you.

Jet Airways - India is an international airline that has its headquarters in Mumbai. Their official website says that they fly to 75 places both in country and internationally with "each connected every five minutes." This airline is not actually that old, in terms of other companies in the industry--they had their inaugural commercial flight in 1993.

Of course, they've gone forward very aggressively in terms of expansion and improving upon their services and itineraries. Jet Airways is widely known to be one of the most rapidly expanding airlines. The company services twenty four international destinations and fifty one destinations in India. Let's learn some more about this up and coming company.

Well, there is more to come with our discussion of Jet Airways information, so we hope you are finding it to be useful. Stop and think a bit about what each point means in your personal situation. We do make the effort to help you as much as possible since this is all about you. You will be best served if your knowledge is broad, and then you can fill in any details with further research. If you can achieve that, then that is good; but in the end you have to accomplish what you can. If that describes you, then you know that you need to make the very most of your time. At least until your knowledge is broader, try to determine what directly applies to you if possible. This airline is actually made up two smaller airlines: JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect. Jet Airways Konnect was created to meet a demand made by a specific market that exists in India. You will see that Konnect services seven major metropolitan areas within India and a few major cities outside of India as well.

This subsidiary is marketed to satisfy the considerable market of those with lower budgets. JetLite, bought by the company in early 2007, is somewhat similar in design to Konnect although it does offer slightly higher priced accommodations. Still, it is not intended to cater to those who like flying first class. JetLite services twenty-seven national destinations and one international flight to Kathmandu. The combined daily flights for both subsidiaries totals almost 300 daily flights. JetLite Airlines, a subsidiary of Jet Airways, was formed when the company bought Air Sahara. In May of 2009, Jet Konnect was created as an alternative to expanding JetLite. The issue at heart concerned unacceptable regulatory delays incurred from the transfer of aircraft from Jet Airways to JetLite. So apparently it was easier to simply create a new airline. The third quarter of 2010 was very good for the parent and JetLite companies. The combined operations enjoyed a market share of 26.9% of the domestic air passenger business in India. That figure is based on number of passengers carried which seems to be a good criteria. That metric earned the company the distinction of being the domestic air passenger carrier market leader within India.

The long-haul flights that use the Boeing 777 have been greatly reduced if not stopped completely because of the recent years of recession. When it comes to transatlantic flights, the 777 Extended Range Boeing airliner really is the best. For financial reasons, the company is now using the Airbus A330 for flights to North America. Later in 2011, there is a plan to resume a few flights to the handful of destinations that were previously halted. Jet Airways announced in June 2011 a new service that will be very convenient for air travelers. Integrating new mobile technology with air ticket purchasing is Mobile Ticketing Solution, their latest effort. Obviously, this will allow the traveler to use the mobile phone for booking flights and tickets. With over a million mobile users, Ngpay, another Indian company and the airline have teamed up. In the mobile commerce sector service of India, Ngpay has seen giant growth. All transactions can be done using the Mobile Ticketing Solution including booking, refunds and cancellations.

The growing business climate and the holiday season are thought to be the main reasons for these outstanding figures. The two million passenger mark was created by subsidiary JetLite as well as its parent airline. A little over one and a half million flew with Jet Airways, with the remaining were flown by Jetlite. With the records set in May 2011, Jet Airways could be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Growth in business does seem to be gaining a stronger foothold in some sectors. Since so many air travelers fly for business reasons, that is obviously a considerable and driving force for airlines.

There is significantly more to flight information than meets the eye, even though you have just learned a great deal more. That is why you just never know where things will end up depending on the peculiarities. Naturally, that is when things can begin to get a little complicated. That should give you reason enough to have the desire to branch out and explore other areas for research. But as you well know, the internet is so huge that you can do that with no problems. Be sure you only take solid information from trusted sources on the net because we all know how it is. Do not always be so quick to accept what you read on the net, and by this time perhaps most people realize that.
