The Las Vegas Main Attractions

By Chris Linch

There is so much to do and see in Las Vegas, that you should consider making a list of "must see" attractions. Can you imagine Italy, Paris, and New York, all within walking distance of each other. Here is a list of the top, must see locations in "Sin City".

Want to see one of Las Vegas' greatest attractions? Come to the Bellagio, where you will first be welcomed by a lovely musical water fountain. Once inside you can enjoy fun acrobatic shows with "O" by Cirque du Soleil, dine in five star restaurants like Circo and Jasmine, or gamble in the casino. There is also a recreation of Venice complete with gondola rides, a shopping center, and exclusive art boutiques.

The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas is home to many exciting attractions, including Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden, a Dolphin Habitat, waterfalls, and a rainforest garden. All of this is accented by a 90-foot high atrium ceiling and a 20,000 gallon saltwater tank at the front desk. With all of this inside it is hard to believe that the Mirage is known for it's outdoor activities. Just come and experience the volcanic eruption of fire and water between 8pm and midnight.

One of downtown Las Vegas' most popular attractions at night is Fredmont Street. The street has a 90 foot high canopy to protect from the sun during the day, and is open only to pedestrian traffic. Known as the Freemont Street Experience, the free display includes entertainers and street musicians, and a light show on the canopy every night, which is it's biggest draw.

It is difficult to list the most popular attractions in Vegas, considering they do change from time to time. There is anything from amazing musicians or impossible acrobatics, to world-class singers, if you can think of it, you can probably see it here.

Vegas is home to many shows, like Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian, where the stage was built just for that show. Critics claim it is the best performance of Phantom. There are many Cirque du Soliel shows, even an "adults-only" show. Famous singers like Elton John, Bette Midler, and Cher are regulars on stages in Vegas, and the Blue Man Group is also a very popular attraction.
