Cape Town; The Holiday Spot Of Choice For The Best Holiday

Cape Town. The Mother City. The Friendliest City on Earth. Call it whatever you want, but it is a terrific city to spend your time in! People from all over the world flock to it's warm shores in summertime to ride the waves, soak up the sun, delight in the night life or simply absorb the amazing sight, smells and sounds of this wonderful city. In this short article you will discover all about the rich cultures of the lots of different people and locations of the city of Cape Town.

Cape Town is located at the south western point of the continent, and is known as the entrance to Africa. local and foreign alike? This city is alive with cultures of lots of types, stemming from many colonists from the Dutch to the French. It's a beautifully balanced city of sounds, sights and cultures. The earliest built building is the Castle of the Cape of Good Hope, constructed in the sixteen hundreds and is the second oldest building, called the Groote Kerk, which means the Great Church, and this is the Dutch Reformed church in South Africa, the first of its kind.|Cape Town is located at the south western point of continent, and is known as the gateway to Africa. Old world beauty meets new world efficiency. The reason Cape Town exists at all is because of the gardens, then called as the Company Gardens, much better known to Cape town's citizens simply as town gardens, where you can take leisurely walks and feed the squirrels and take pleasure in a warm summers day. It is not nearly as large as it once was, however still provides a charming park filled with beautiful old trees to merely enjoy your surroundings.

Cape Town Holidays are not complete unless you have visited the most famous part of this city; Table Mountain. It dominates the horizon and is a sight to be seen, specifically when the "table cloth" is covering it. Clouds seem to drape just the top of the plateau, making it appear as if a white table cloth is on the mountain. On clearer days, you can ride the cable cars to the top and take pleasure in some of the most amazing views worldwide, have a picnic or just take the most stunning pictures to remember Cape Town by. You can even go on walking trails up the mountain, if you are feeling fit and energetic. The mountain belongs to the Table Mountain National Park which extends all the way to the Cape Peninsula. It also has the loveliest fynbos and wild flowers around and does, in fact, boast more types of plants than the entire Great Britain. Table Mountain is an experience that everybody, including us residents, need to be able to say "I have actually been up Table Mountain".

There is a lot to do and see in Cape Town, it is simply impossible to detail all of it! For those unfortunate minority of unenlightened, there are no lions or elephants or zebras roaming our city streets. We are as cosmopolitan as the next city, just more exciting to go to!
