Holiday Hotels By The Beach

By Thelma Kent

Long Beach MS hotels are the ideal place to experience and enjoy a Gulf Coast holiday. Hotel rooms along the Gulf number more than 13,000 now, and there are innumerable beaches to explore. Even so, Long Beach still stands out and one of the reasons is because the community has a wonderful way of coming together.

The town was completely totaled by Katrina in 2005 but has still managed to get up off the mat and rebuild facilities for visitors. Then the BP oil spill came along in 2010 and knocked them out again. But they're still standing, with the white sand beaches just as pristine and beautiful as before and restaurants overflowing with seafood and Cajun cooking.

There are about five choices in terms of a hotel stay. The most desirable of these are right across the beaches and along Highway 90. It's an ideal location, with the ocean and sand right across the street and everything important close by.

Some may prefer a more secluded inland stay. That would still mean it would be within walking distance of the coast. But the couple of hotels about 10 minutes from the coast will be quieter and more peaceful with no tourist buses or crowds making a racket outside.

Either way, important places visitors will want to be at such as the Island View Casino, Seabee Museum and Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport are just minutes away. The harbor and fishing piers can be reached with a short stroll. Visitors can take a break at one of the waterfront cafes or seafood restaurants.

A free breakfast and coffee or tea is usually provided by the long beach ms hotels to all guests. It is not called the 'Friendly City' just for kicks. The hotels do their part to keep the city's reputation intact with a whole lot of personal care and attention for each guest.
