Silver Dollar City Hotels For A Theme Park Holiday

By Elaine Guthrie

Silver Dollar City is a theme park in the Ozarks, close to Branson, Missouri. The retro park fits in perfectly into the small town charm and family friendly atmosphere in the area. When the park is open March-Dec, all the Silver Dollar City hotels are usually sold out ahead of time.

The choice of a place to stay obviously depends on different factors. Everything from price to amenities, location, and the number of people who will be staying in a room has to be taken into consideration. In this case, visitors also need to factor in their plans for the duration of the stay.

A family driving through Branson on US-65 might prefer something that is on the way and near the park. But others who fly in and want to stay over for the weekend or longer might want to stay at a place that is in the city. This way, they have a central location from which to explore the whole region.

For instance, many people who come for the theme park also end up enjoying Ride the Ducks, White Water and other water park attractions that are nearby. Another similarly enjoyable tourist experience is the show and cruise onboard the Showboat Branson Belle. It's not hard to map these attractions and then find a hotel nearby.

For those who can't figure this out, just remember that the theme park is in between Branson and Branson West on Missouri State Route 76. So there are two groupings of hotels, motels and inns, one on each side of the park. It's ok to pick a place that is in one of these groups, which are both within easy driving distance of the park.

Location apart, it's also important for budget vacationers to find something affordable. Chain properties are typically safe choices where people can get decent accommodations without breaking the bank. They're also likely to offer standard amenities like free parking, a heated pool or hot tub, room service, laundry, etc.

Expect Wi-Fi or at least high-speed Internet in the room, along with cable, a refrigerator and a microwave. A complimentary breakfast and free beverages such as coffee and tea are quite common too. Many lodging providers also offer shuttles to their guests who need to go to the park.

A package deal may also be possible. It would include significant savings, subject to the visitor being able to plan for it ahead of time. A package might include theme park tickets and a stay in a hotel of the visitor's choice. Some packages also offer tickets for other attractions in the area. In any case, the overall cost will be lower than booking all of it individually. The one thing that can be said for sure is that stays at hotels in Silver Dollar City are highly memorable and a whole lot of fun.
