A True Prepper Survival Pack Has A Lot Of Necessary Things

By Edna Booker

Since prepper is a name that means to prepare for something, this person must do tings that ensure they are ready for that something. That something could be a foreign invasion or a flood that sends them out of their home. It could be other weather related disasters and it could be something that the government is doing that has everyone in the area scared. These people usually prepare, first, a Prepper Survival Pack.

This kit is often called a bug out bag. That means that anything you have in this pack is all you are leaving your home with. It also means that carefully planned bag or pack must have essentials and nothing that can not be used. Each person must carry their own bag.

The time line for the use of this kit is about three days. That means you will be living out of this pack or bag for that time, at least. This amount of time should enable you and your party to find something that is a more secure, whether that be with other family or friends or a site that can be fortified, if worse comes to worse. A good look at the ingredients of this kit will help you understand the importance of preparation.

Three days of water is heavy. Do not believe that you will be able to take a shower everyday. The water you carry will be for hydrating your body as in drinking and cooking and cleaning dishes. The need for water, especially if you are on the run, is vital for the proper functioning of your body.

Food is next on the list. Do not pack a lot of cans as these get heavy very fast. Dehydrated snacks and meals are available in many survival stores and some are found in regular grocery outlets. These are light weight and only need a little water and some heat to make them a nutritional meal. Military personnel use these in the field and you are definitely in the field.

The prepper will also need something that can serve as a roof and, possibly, a wall or two. This can be accomplished with a tent or a tarp that can be thrown over a limb or fence post. A sleeping bag for everyone will also help you get some sleep in a cold environment. Sleep is something that you need especially if you are going to be on the move most of the time.

One of the most important elements of this bag will be a first aid kit. This exercise is all about survival, so you need things that will help keep you healthy and, as necessary, germ free. A good disinfectant, a lot of bandages and sanitary wipes will go a long way. Consult with a medical professional for additional items and be sure to pack all regular medication any member of your party normally takes.

This kit, bag or pack must contain all of the things that are going to keep you alive for a few days. Everything in it is crucial and valuable. The life you save, if only for a few days, is your own and, indirectly, your family, friends or others you cared enough about to take along. Think carefully about everything and throw in a paperback or two, just in case.
