When you choose to explore cruising from Florida, you will discover that several ports are host to cruise lines. Each city with a cruising port has things to entertain you on land and coastal waters. A bit of research ahead will go a long way to open up the opportunities that await you.

Enjoying Miami

Visitors will find many water related activities they can try for a start. For land based activities diversity of options is the best way to describe Miami treats. Consider renting a scooter, trying some road mountain biking, skateboarding or kite flying. There is skydiving and parasailing or a helicopter ride to experience. A narrated sightseeing tour is a nice way to learn about the city. But, it is a safe guess that South Beach will be a site that will not be left out of the itinerary. However, there is much more that awaits in Miami.

You may find it entertaining to learn why this city is considered similar to Venice in some ways. The many canals will remind you. This is also a place to see yachts galore. The International Swimming Hall of Fame is a site not to be left out. The charms of the city will entrance you as you discover there are many aspects you had not expected to find here.

If you like to gamble the two casino ships will beckon. Famous Orlando theme parks are a drive away, in case you care. Then there is the Kennedy Space Center to attract your interest. After all the time spent in these activities, if you have the energy there are airboat rides and deep sea fishing opportunities also. Cocoa Beach and its pier offers more conventional opportunities to feed and entertain yourselves..

What you can do in Tampa

Busch Gardens, the Big Cat Rescue and Dinosaur World come immediately to mind. Theme parks for kids of all ages, museums, aquariums, zoos and gardens such as the Sunken Gardens and Cypress Gardens are Tampa attractions. The Bok Tower has trails, while Weeki Wachee Springs mermaid show is something to talk about. Gamblers can try the Seminole Indian Casino and if you are there in January, the annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival should not be missed.
