Always carry an updated color photo of your child with you. This will come in handy if they are ever lost. The idea of losing your child likely scares you, but not being prepared is worse. Unfortunately, it can happen. Having a photo on you to share with authorities could mean the difference in whether or not your child is found quickly.

If you drive to any port city prior to going on your cruise, you can find hotels that offer free parking upon arriving the night before. Ask the hotel's staff when it comes to parking deals even though none are published.

Do not hope that an airline will make you as comfortable as necessary on a flight. Bringing a blanket, pillow and headphones with you is a good idea. You may also want to purchase a snack before boarding the plane.

Get a workout in before you get on the plane. This can reduce the monotony of a long flight. Your body can become cramped and uncomfortable. Stretching or doing a quick workout prior to flying can eliminate or lower your risk of getting soreness or leg cramps.

Select a pair of shoes you will comfortable in and can remove easily for air travel. Understand that your shoes must be removed during security checks. They should always be comfortable. You do not need particularly supportive shoes as you will be spending most of your time sitting. Sandals and flip-flops are best for traveling.

Tip the bell boy and housekeeper when staying in a nice place. Generally speaking, it is about a dollar for each piece of luggage, and between $2 to $5 for cleaning the room. Tipping ensures good service and is sure to make your interactions with hotel staff more pleasurable.

Bring travel candles with you when you are staying in a hotel. This can make your room smell a bit better. Also, it creates a romantic and relaxing atmosphere and could get you to fall asleep. Some companies will make the candles in easy to take with you sizes and will not drip.

Always keep your most important belongings on hand when travelling. Carry your handbag tucked securely under your arm. Also, pick travel bags with secured flaps that conceal zippers and pockets, so that access is not easy in crowded or dangerous areas. Always consider these things before purchasing your travel bags.
