Include Panama City Dolphin Tours On Your Next Vacation

By Eric Edwards

A trip to the beach is a joy, whether you are there alone, with that special someone, or with the whole family in tow. Building sand castles and enjoying the sea air is great, but perhaps you want to take things to the next level. If that sounds like something you want to do, then you will want to look into Panama City dolphin tours as a way to interact safely with these intelligent sea creatures.

In some cases, the dolphins are in a pen near the shore, and you just walk out on a dock and dive in with them. Usually though, you have to take a boat out further into the sea to where they hang out. Your chosen tour company will have the boat and an experienced captain to take you out to where the dolphins congregate, so you get to enjoy a relaxing boat ride before you dive in and start interacting with the animals.

Each boat can accommodate several people, so you and your family may join other guests on the same vessel. However, if you wish to get a private tour, that can be arranged as well. Of course, the private ones will cost more, but you get more interaction time with the dolphins and more space to move around on the boat en route.

If you are with your family or a large group of people, most companies can accommodate you. Some boats can take 20 or more people out at one time. In fact, if you have a large family or group, you might want to ask about a discount. If you book all the tickets at once, they may be able to cut you a discount for larger groups.

Parents often have trouble finding one activity that the entire family can agree on. This is especially true if there is a large age gap between one or more of the children. But all ages love dolphins, so this is one activity that everyone can agree on.

You can rely on the experience of your tour operators to keep you safe. They will likely provide life jackets, and insist that the younger kids wear them anytime they are on the boat. They will go through all the proper precautions before you enter the water so everyone stays safe and has a great time. This usually happens before or during the boat ride.

Usually all you need is a swim suit, towel and suntan lotion. Some companies provide water or other refreshments while on board, while others may not. Ask when you book so you know whether or not to take a bottle of water with you.

Booking as far in advance as possible is usually the best thing to do. This is especially important if you are planning your trip for summer, when many other families are vacationing as well. March and April due to spring break is also a packed time, so book in advance for those months as well. This way, you are not disappointed when you find out everything is booked solid.
